Colleagues and Residents at HC-One’s Ashbourne Lodge care home in Sunderland are getting in the Halloween and festive mood after it was decided to get the Christmas tree out early and decorate it with spooky ornaments.
Colleagues came up with the idea of putting the homes big Christmas tree to good use. It has been a hard few months for Residents and Colleagues, so the home thought it was fitting to do something fun, so they decided to turn their Christmas tree into a Halloween tree.
Ashbourne Residents really had fun decorating the tree and talking about their memories of their past Halloweens and how the Residents loved to see the children all dressed up.
Ashbourne Resident Joyce Patching said: “I have lovely memories of my grandchildren at Halloween, they would love this tree, it has really cheered the place up too.”
It was lovely for Colleagues to seeing all the fun that Residents had whilst putting it up and decorating the tree and has really got the home in the festive mood.
