Guisborough care home welcomes local school children and therapy dogsHC-One’s Park House care home in Guisborough opened its doors to local children from St Paulins School and two four legged friends from Wagg and Co earlier in July.

Residents at Park House have strong bonds with both the pupils at St Paulins School and therapy dogs, Daisy and Poppy, from Wagg and Co, so it was a great day when both came to visit at the same time.

The visit was to help the school children understand the important role that friendship dogs like Daisy and Poppy can have for people living in care homes.

Prior to the visit, Lesley, a Resident from Park House accompanied Andy a representative of Wagg and Co to St Paulins School to provide further information and insight for pupils, as a thank you for her help with the project, Lesley received a beautiful bouquet of flowers which she appreciated.

Everyone enjoyed the visit, especially the Residents who loved seeing the children interacting with the dogs and learning about their very important role that they can play in people’s wellbeing.
