Guisborough care home enjoys Big SingHC-One’s Park House care home embraced BBC Music day recently as they held a selection of activities and entertainment within the home.

Ally, a tai chi instructor, attended the home to hold a tai-chi session for Residents’ well-being, which everyone enjoyed, before taking part in the ‘big sing’ with all staff, Residents and Relatives who gathered together to sing ‘You are my sunshine’.

Residents took turns to play instruments, with the favourite being the gathering drum. Everyone then enjoyed a sing-a-long with the Ally as she played the guitar for all to listen and sing along to.

To end the musical afternoon, artist, Dan Walker, joined the home as he brought a mix of wonderful songs from Residents’ favourite singers.

Julie Woods, Home Manager, commented: “Today has been wonderful and filled with music. Residents have enjoyed themselves so much as they took part in a tranquil tai-chi session before enjoying the musical theme.”
