With the whole of the UK unable to go on that dream trip abroad at the moment, why not bring the holiday to you? Which is exactly what they did at Grosvenor Park care home.
The Residents loved the trip to the Caribbean. Colleagues set the scene at the home and decorated the lounge with palm trees, garlands and wildlife (we are not sure how we feel about the inflatable shark though!)
Everyone listened to the Caribbean music on the portable music device and relaxed for the afternoon. The Residents enjoyed some cold coconut Pina Coladas and staff and Residents alike had a brilliant laugh and a great afternoon!
Residents Pam, Eileen, Jean, Margaret, Liz, Joy and Sheila particularly enjoyed getting into the holiday spirit and the Pina Coladas were certainly a great hit.
One Resident commented, “Oh I do love Pina Coladas!”
Even Tigs, the cat, got in the relaxing holiday spirit.
Who says you need a sunshine to feel like you are on holiday?
