A Colleague at HC One’s Brooklands care home spent the day completing different activities with one of the Residents.
First of all the Colleague at the Grimsby care home helped the Resident have a video call with her husband. This is so important so they can stay in touch and still see each other during this difficult time.
The Resident used to love spending time gardening and watching butterflies, so the staff decided on a butterfly theme hot air balloon to put up on her wall. The finishing touch was the Resident and her husband in the basket together.
It was lovely for both the Colleague and Resident to spend time together chatting and having a laugh.
They also created a Remembering booklet together, using the photos that her husband had sent into the home.
