Grimsby care home receives glowing report from Care Quality CommissionHC-One’s Clarendon Hall care home in Humberston, Grimsby, is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC). 

The team at Clarendon Hall was delighted to receive an impressive report that rated the home as good overall, with an outstanding rating in the responsive element of the report. 

The service, which was described as ‘exceptional at promoting people’s wellbeing and quality of life’,  was also found to be safe, effective, caring and well-led. 

The inspectors were full of praise for staff at Clarendon Hall, highlighting the kind ways in which they provide care for people living at the home.  This sentiment was echoed by Residents, who made remarks such as: “Our lives here are so much brighter because of all the things we do and new activities we try.”

One Relative added: “The Residents love the staff. You see some of their faces light up when the staff come in the room.”

The report reflected the variety of stimulating activities available to Residents at the home, which included inviting the local community to a talent show and pantomime. Residents had also been involved in designing the home’s new sensory garden, as they made a beautiful remembrance tree for past Residents and hand painted stones to place around the wishing well.
