Grimsby care home enjoys a blast from the past with The Upbeat BeatlesResidents at Clarendon Hall care home in Grimsby enjoyed a trip down memory lane as they watched Sentimental Journey at the theatre.

Friends and family joined Residents as they visited Grimsby Auditorium for the show, which was jam packed with songs ranging from the 1940s all the way to the 1970s.

Everyone was in great spirits throughout the show, even enjoying an obligatory ice cream in the interval.

The show concluded with a celebration of the hard work of the armed forces, with Residents waving their flags in patriotic pride and singing along with joy.

Residents were even lucky enough to meet the cast of the show and get some signed pictures as a memento of their fantastic afternoon out.

Norman, a Resident at Clarendon Hall, said: “This is one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. It really did bring back a lot of memories!”

One Resident’s daughter added: “I can’t thank you enough, my dad has really enjoyed the trip and so have I!”

Hayley, Activity Coordinator, said: “The trip was such a success with all of our Residents and their loved ones. Everyone has even asked to go back for the Christmas Show!”
