Residents at
Greenways Court, residential and residential dementia care home, in Consett, love helping in the local community.
After Residents helped the CPN Wellbeing Team at the Shotley Bridge Hospital, with a project they were running, the Residents were asked to help them again in shooting a video to be taken around the local primary schools.
Residents Rena, Ted, Noreen, Mary J, Catherine, Arthur, Taylor, Nora, Sue Joan and Jean were thrilled when they were asked to take part in the video. Each of the Residents thought hard about what piece of advice they would like to have in the video.
The Residents were asked questions and their answers were written on boards and images were taken of each of the Residents.
The Residents really enjoyed taking the pictures and had lots of fun. Noreen, said, “I was more than happy to help, and I can’t wait to see the video once it is done!”
Kinga Kowaliczek, Care Home Manager, commented, “It is great for the Residents to get involved in projects like this one. The Residents love it!”
