Greenways Court care home giving a helping handGreenways Court, residential and residential memory care home, in Consett are always willing to give a helping hand to their fellow HC-One homes.

After Stoneleigh, another home part of the HC-One group, sent out a cry for help as a Residents family member had accidently misplaced a special item.

When clearing out the Resident’s home, to move into residential care a treasured inside out doll may have been thrown away in the move!

At Greenways Court, one staff member was excellent at knitting, and has a heart of gold. She was more than happy to get started on knitting the Resident a new doll.

Within a week, the doll was knitted and given to Joe, the Resident at Stoneleigh. He was delighted with the doll!

Joe was so happy, he bought Dorothy a box of chocolates and a card to express his thanks. He said, “Thank you so much everyone.”

Kinga Kowaliczek, Care Home Manager, remarked, “We are always giving everyone a helping hand when needed! It was great to see Joe so happy!”
