Green-fingered Residents prepare for summer at Coventry care homeGreen-fingered Residents at Victoria Gardens care home in Coventry didn’t let the rain stop gardening club fun as everyone helped decorate the garden in time for summer.

Despite the May showers, gardening club commenced inside the home as Residents helped paint plant pots, which will be displayed around the patio area to add a splash of colour to the garden.

Alan, Romy and Pat got to work on painting the flower pots, as they each chose their own design for the decorations.

Romy said: “I really loved the conversations during the group activity”, while Alan added: “I thoroughly enjoyed that. It has been a long time since I’ve done any painting!”

Melanie Walton, Home Manager, said: “Gardening club is one of the most popular activities amongst our Residents at Victoria Gardens. Everyone seemed to be really enjoying the painting. The garden is going to look fantastic in the summer!”
