Green-fingered Residents enjoy summer sunshine at Barton BrookGreen-fingered Residents at Barton Brook care home in Salford enjoyed an afternoon of gardening as they helped staff prepare the home for summer.

Joyce, who was a keen gardener before moving to Barton Brook, was delighted to help staff make hanging baskets to brighten up the scenery outside the home.

Residents commented on how lovely it was to help out, especially in the glorious summer sunshine!

One Resident commented: “I’ve always had a keen eye for gardening, so I was delighted to help out with planting the flowers and arranging the hanging baskets. They are going to look beautiful in the summer!”

Lynn Kaye, Home Manager at Barton Brook, said: “Gardening is one of the most popular activities amongst Residents at our home. Everyone is really excited to spend time outside in the summer as the flowers begin to blossom.”
