Green-fingered Residents enjoy gardening morning at Grimsby care homeGreen-fingered Residents at Brooklands care home in Grimsby enjoyed a morning of gardening in the glorious September sunshine.

Everyone enjoyed helping plant flowers in the garden, giving the outdoor space a splash of colour in time for autumn.

Residents then crafted flowerpot men and created the home’s very own duck pond, which has really brightened up the garden.

The morning was enjoyed by all, as refreshments were served and music was played throughout. Residents shared memories of spending time in their gardens with their families growing up.

Melanie Walton, Home Manager at Brooklands, said: “Gardening is one of the most popular hobbies amongst our Residents, so it was no surprise that this activity was enjoyed by so many in the home. The garden looks fantastic now and I am so proud of all who were involved.”
