Green-fingered Residents enjoy day at the farm
Two Colleagues and two of the Residents of Beauvale Care home headed off to take part in "Plant Magic" at Farm Eco.

Many Residents enjoy gardening so the trip was a relaxing and fun experience.

On arrival they met two goats - Bertie and Lego and then saw the chickens and cockerels.

Residents then donned some gardening gloves and did some weeding on the raised beds and picked tomatoes in the Poly tunnels. Ken had previously owned an allotment and so the activity triggered many happy memories.

Resident John said it was a 'lovely day' and Ken said "it was beautiful". Both came home with a big bag of freshly picked tomatoes which they were most pleased with.

Home Manager, Liz Wood, Commented:

"It was great to hear what a lovely morning Ken and John had. We can't wait to take them back again! Activities like these are just another way we can provide the kindest and most person centered care."
