Green-fingered Residents at Great Easton care home enjoy afternoon of gardeningResidents at HC-One’s The Moat House care home’s gardening club recently embraced the sunshine as they took to the garden to tend to their patches.

The Residents were keen to maintain their herbs and vegetables as they had now grown from seeds and cuttings, almost ready to be picked and harvested. Some Residents opted to arrange flowers instead as they were preparing an indoor table display for all to enjoy.

One Resident in particular, Barbara, had been create a Mother’s Day basket arrangement a few months ago, and she enjoyed maintaining the beautiful flowers and trimming them down as required, commenting that she was “really pleased they’re all growing so well.”

Hedvig Nemeth, Home Manager, commented: “It’s wonderful for the gardening club to be able to make the most of the glorious sunshine we have had recently. The Residents have been so pleased with the progress the garden has made.”
