Green-fingered Hindley care home Residents prepare for Harvest FestivalResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Rosebridge Court Care Home have been preparing for Harvest Festival this year as they have worked hard to grow their own vegetables.

After eagerly awaiting and carefully watching them grow each month, everyone thoroughly enjoyed getting muddy as they were finally able to harvest the crops.

The yield included delicious carrots, potatoes, spring onions and beetroot as Colleagues laid out the vegetables for all to see and take pride in.

This has given the home the opportunity to prepare for the gardening competition due to be held for Harvest Festival as they now have their own vegetable plots alongside other beautifully blooming plants and flowers.

Cheryl Little, Home Manager, commented: “This has been such a fun and exciting activity for all Residents and Colleagues to get involved in over the year. Everyone can’t wait to eat the delicious vegetables and we look forward to a gardening competition.”
