Great Great Grandmother celebrates Milestone BirthdayA Resident at Northampton’s Pytchley Court, which provides residential, nursing and dementia care, has been celebrating her 105th birthday.
 
Hilda Brown a Resident at Pytchley Court celebrated her 105th birthday with her family earlier this month. She was born on 10/11/1917 and has enjoyed some adventurous birthdays over the years, such as flying Micro Light when she turned 90 and went up in a hot air balloon at 85.

This year’s celebrations were not as adrenaline infused and instead, she was surrounded by her huge family at the care home. Hilda has 3 sons and 1 daughter, 9 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Hilda was also interviewed by BBC Radio Northampton and received lots of flowers, sweets and chocolate.
 
When speaking to Hilda about her secret to long life, Hilda said, “a tot of whiskey in milk”
 
Sue the Home Manager at Pytchley Court said, “Its so wonderful to see Hilda celebrating such a huge birthday with her family. She has achieved so much throughout her life”.
