Residents and staff at Brookdale View care home in Newton Heath were delighted to attend the grand opening of the home’s new activities room.
The new space caters for people with varying needs and abilities by incorporating a number of different activities, including a music corner, reading area, arts and crafts table, board games, a Wii console and twiddle mitts.
The room will be used for daily activities in the home and can be accessed by Residents and their visiting friends and family.
Elizabeth Walker, Home Manager at Brookdale View, said: “Our new activities room has already been a great success with Residents, as it offers activities to help with brain stimulation for people with varying needs. I can’t wait to see how this will benefit friends and family visiting the home too.”
