Grampian Court are treated to a pie dinner and an evening of entertainmentOn Thursday evening Grampian Court’s Wellbeing Co-Ordinator Julie and Care Assistant Sarah took five Residents to Patton House Day Centre in Wheatley Hill for an evening of entertainment.

Upon arrival, Residents William Kelsey, David Swaninston, Irene Hauxwell, Valerie Ward and Norma Geldard received a warm welcome and were treated to a piece of delicious pie and mushy peas, followed by a slice of cake with squirty cream.

The local entertainer, Allen Cutler, first showed off his balloon modelling skills, making various items for the Residents including a Queen of Hearts hat for Norma. He then amused everyone with impersonations, making William laugh with his impression of Laurel and Hardy.

Next up was a magic show where he requested the assistance of Valerie’s grandson Andrew. It was then Julie’s time to be selected to take part in a group dance where she wore a Tommy Cooper mask and danced her way through Is this the way to Amarillo

The Residents all loved being able to get out into the local community and having the opportunity to socialise. They thoroughly enjoyed the show that Allen had put on.

Judith Tully, Home Manager at Grampian Court, commented:

“We have a varied schedule of activities at Grampian Court and external visits are a popular part of the Wellbeing programme. I am delighted that the Residents enjoyed their day and we’ll look forward to returning again soon.”
