Glasgow care home worker braves the shave to raise £1000 for MacmillanAgnes Malcolmson, Nursing Assistant at Greenfield Park care home in Carntyne – part of HC-One, the kind care company – has raised an amazing £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Support by braving the shave.

The brave the shave initiative was first introduced by Macmillan Cancer Support in 2015, since its launch, brave people have shaved their hair in a bid to raise vital funds for the charitable organisation. 

Agnes decided to brave the shave herself to help create raise awareness of the incredible work they do for people and families affected by cancer. 

On Thursday 1st August, Agnes braved the shave at Greenfield Park care home on Myreside Street where she works as a Nursing Assistant. 

Residents at the home helped Agnes prepare for the shave by cutting her hair, with the support of the home’s hairdresser. 

Robert Murray, Greenfield Park Home Manager said: “Everyone at Greenfield Park is proud of Agnes for her selfless gesture which has managed to raise such an impressive amount of money for a charity which has touched the heart of so many.”
