Glasgow Care Home Enjoys Success in CIS ReportHC-One’s Arcadia Gardens in Bridgeton, Glasgow is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Inspector Scotland (CIS)

The team at Arcadia Gardens were delighted to have received an impressive CIS report that rated the home as ‘Good’ in all areas, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents. The inspection evaluated how well the home supported people’s wellbeing, leadership, staff, setting and how well the homes care and support is planned.

The inspectors were full of praise for colleagues Arcadia Gardens, highlighting the kind ways in which they provide care for Residents at the home. The inspection report stated, ‘Staff were kind and caring in their interactions with Residents who appeared to be relaxed in their company.’ Both Residents and Relatives praised the staff. One Relative explained to the inspectors on the communication between the staff and Relatives was. The Relative told the inspectors, ‘If anything happens, they phone.’

Inspectors also commented on the wellbeing programme and activities. Staff are encouraging to the Residents to join in and participate in many activities. The inspectors report stated, ‘We saw residents taking part in a variety of activities during our visit, some helped promote movement, gentle exercise and hand eye coordination.’ The inspectors report highlighted that Residents have enjoyed activities out of the home, including trips to the community centres and local parks.
