On 14th March, a party was held at Pencoed’s
Glanffrwd care home, which offers residential and nursing care, for one Colleague’s retirement.
Nigel Halse, who works in maintenance at the home, has worked there for 20 years and has been an asset, not just to Glanffrwd but to other HC-One homes too.
Glanffrwd Colleagues organised a retirement tea party for Nigel. Head Chef Tracey put on a delicious spread (pictured) for all to enjoy! Nigel received gifts from his work family and HC-One, and Area Director Jacqueline Orrells popped by too to wish Nigel all the best!
Colleagues describe Nigel as “one of a kind” and he has “left big shoes to fill.” He will be missed by everyone.
Chris, who works at Glanffrwd, joked, “We will miss his grumpy face around the home!”
Fellow Colleague Viv added, “The place isn't going to feel the same without Nigel.”
