HC-One’s The Oakes care home arranged for local barber Hugo to provide hot towel shaves for the gentleman.
The hair salon, usually a favourite domain for the female Residents was transformed into a barber shop, where the gentlemen enjoyed a drink as they queued to sit in the barber chair.
Wellbeing Co-ordinator Lisa Bailey decided to organise this for the men while the ladies were celebrating Mother’s Day and hopes the regular visit will encourage the gents to share memories and promote good wellbeing.
Residents enjoyed the experience and are looking forward to it becoming a regular event in the diaries. Hugo will be visiting the home fortnightly to provide his services for the male Residents.
