Generous donations enhance wellbeing initiative at Newton Heath care homeAverill House care home in Newton Heath, Manchester was delighted to receive a generous donation to enhance its doll therapy room as part of a new wellbeing initiative for Residents.

The doll therapy has been a great success at Averill House, so Wellbeing Coordinator Raquel reached out to the local community as a lovely lady donated a vintage 1970s pram to be included in the home’s new nursery corner.

The nursery corner has been launched after the introduction of therapy dolls in Averill House, with Laundry Assistant Karen caring for and stitching up the dolls where necessary.

Everyone at Averill House is looking forward to the grand opening of the nursery corner, with one Resident commenting: “I love the new pram, it is beautiful.”
