Generation Games at Bridgend care homeResidents from HC-One’s Glanffrwd care home in Bridgend and pupils at Pencoed Primary School enjoyed taking part in the ‘Generation Games’.

Mrs Jenkins, Techer from Pencoed Primary and Rachel, Wellbeing Coordinator at Glanffrwd have worked closely over the last five months to organise regular activities known as ‘Generation Games’ including pet therapy, arts and crafts and musical sessions for both Residents and pupils to enjoy together.

At their latest session, they invited Pili Pala Dance Therapies to come and do a dance workshop for the intergenerational group, both young and old put their dancing shoes on and took part in the fun-filled activity. Some opted to play musical instruments or sing along to the music, while the rest got up and danced as a group.

A great time was had by all, Residents commented that they thought this was the best session so far and thought it was lovely to see the children having such a good time. Everyone is already looking forward to their next visit.
