HC-One’s Springfield House Care Home in Low Fell, Gateshead, is celebrating having received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The team at Springfield House was delighted to have received an impressive CQC report that rated the home as “Good” overall, demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for Residents and that it is Caring, Safe, Effective, Responsive and Well-led.
The CQC was full of praise for Springfield House’s ‘kind and caring staff team’. The reported noted that there were ‘warm and friendly relationships’ between Residents and staff, with lots of laughter and joking helping to contribute to a positive and friendly atmosphere at the home.
The Inspectors’ praise for the Springfield House team was reflected in comments from Residents and relatives at the home. One Resident stated that “The staff here are excellent. They are like family, they really are”, while a relative commented, “the staff are marvellous I am happy with the care my family member is receiving.” Residents also noted how colleagues were “caring and also have a good humour, where you can have a laugh with them”.
