Garforth care home Residents pay respects for Remembrance DayResidents at Augustus Court care home in Garforth, Leeds paid their respects to those affected by the war on Remembrance Day.

Everyone watched the Remembrance Day service on TV, before taking a two minute silence in memory of those who fought in World War 1 and 2.

Augustus Court put together a beautiful display of poppies, including a wreath containing the symbolic red flowers, which was later taken up to the local church to be included in the town’s Remembrance display.

Once the service was finished, Residents enjoyed tea and cakes together as they shared memories of the Second World War.

One Resident commented: “The display looks absolutely beautiful.”
