
Green fingered Resident, John Tomlinson has been busy preparing the garden at HC-One’s Defoe Court care home in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham for a local and national gardening competition.
Defoe Court will be entering HC-One’s Gardening Competition, which is entered by other care homes across United Kingdom as well as entering a local community gardening competition.
John has always been a keen gardener and jumped at the opportunity to help the team prepare the garden, he has assisted with painting the fence and planting over 100 flowers throughout the care home’s grounds.
Fellow Residents have commented John’s efforts, complimenting how lovely the garden is looking.
Defoe Court Home Manager, Sarah Todd said: “John’s expertise have been invaluable in helping to transform our garden, everyone at Defoe Court has their fingers crossed that we will have some success in either or both gardening competitions this year.”
