Residents and Colleagues at Birch Court were thrilled to recently receive a visit from Doolittle’s animal therapy team.
The selection of animals consisted of ponies, goats and rabbits, which were each pampered and stroked by Residents who were more than happy to welcome their new friends into the home for the day.
Residents especially loved being able to stroke and cuddle the fluffy little rabbit who was there, and they enjoyed change in atmosphere the visit brought, with one Resident remarking: “It’s so nice to be able to have these animals here, they’re so adorable.”
Catherine Haycock, Home Manager, commented: ”It was wonderful to see how happy the Residents were to see these lovely animals. It really brightened everyone’s day up, and we hope to have the animals visit again soon!”
