Sabourn Court care home in Leeds was delighted to raise more than £400 for the home’s Residents’ Fund as friends and family visited the home for its summer barbecue.
Residents were delighted to be joined by their loved ones as they made the most of the summer sunshine, enjoying burgers, sausages and chicken skewers with a selection of refreshing drinks.
The barbecue was followed by a delicious dessert, which included a selection of cakes and other sweet treats.
Children enjoyed a variety of summer games in the garden, while Colleagues at the home boosted the fundraising efforts with a raffle and tombola.
Lisa Lyndley-Jones, Home Manager at Sabourn Court, said: “I am so proud of our team, who gave 100% effort throughout the day. It was fantastic to see so many smiley faces as Residents enjoyed joining in with the activities with their loved ones.”
