Throughout the month of April, Colleagues at HC-One’s
Rose Court care home, in Radcliffe, have been doing lots of fundraising events for their garden makeover which will be used for Resident activities and enjoyment.
To date, the group has raised a considerable amount of money through a sponsored walk with Colleagues, Residents and Relatives, a tombola, raffles and other activities.
The garden makeover at the 87-bed residential, nursing and dementia care home will begin in May, with help from volunteers from BT Companions. The home’s tree will be replanted at the local St Mary’s School, which the home has a lot of intergeneration links with.
Residents have enjoyed helping to design the garden with the Home Manager Leanne Batten-Smith and are surprised at how fast it has come together.
Allison Porter, Wellbeing Coordinator, said, “The commitment from Colleagues has been fabulous. The generous donations that have been coming in has touched our hearts.”
