Fun in the sun at Dunstable care home HC-One’s Ridgeway Lodge care home in Dunstable welcomed the local community to their annual Summer Fete on Saturday 23rd June.

Residents were joined by relatives, friends, regular visitors and some new faces to celebrate in the sunshine with live entertainment, stalls, fun-filled activities, a tombola and BBQ.

A local acoustic band and a string band performed throughout the afternoon, and World Cup fever took over in the football-themed competitions. 

Everyone had a great day, Resident’s said it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves and the music was fantastic. All of the money raised throughout the day has been donated to the Resident’s Comfort Fund.

A relative of a Resident at Ridgeway Lodge said:

“My father is new to the home and it just helps me to realise that we picked the right place, everyone is so lovely.”

Ridgeway Lodge Home Manager, Thomas Bridle said:

“Our summer fete is a great way to bring all of those associated with the home together and to celebrate the wonderful weather. 

“We had a record-breaking year in terms of donations and money raised and it was a great effort by our Wellbeing Co-ordinator Karen and the whole team who came together to make it a special day.”
