Fun arts and crafts sessions at Stockport care homeResidents at HC One’s Appleton Manor care home have been enjoying arts and crafts in their rooms.

Residents on the nursing unit of the Stockport care home have been enjoying some arts and crafts today.

The Residents made bird feeders to put outside their windows so they could see the wildlife, and they also made window chimes to hang above the windows & bird boxes.

With a little help from wellbeing coordinator Sarah, the Residents made up and decorated the bird boxes, window chimes and the window bird boxes with bright colours.

They then filled the bird window boxes with bird seed, and as you can see from the pictures the Residents Brenda and Norma, seem to enjoy doing this and were very proud of their creations.

Norma commented I will hopefully be able to see the birds come to the window now and watch them feed”, whilst Brenda said "I enjoy doing the art work, and can’t wait to see the wild life at the window."

Wellbeing coordinator Sarah said “It’s such a pleasure to be able to bring so much joy to our Residents. This is why I am so passionate about my job.”
