Residents at
Fullarton, nursing and nursing memory care home, in Irvine, have recently celebrated Burns Day.
Residents in the three units at Fullarton care home, had a burns night supper.
Everyone involved enjoyed poems and Scottish sing-a-longs and a few Scottish sayings.
Residents enjoyed some Scottish fare, the catering team provided shortbread, tablet and cherry cake. Other treats included, Scottish cheeses, oatcakes, smoked salmon an Irn Bru.
After food, Residents, enjoyed a quiz. They also enjoyed reminiscing. One Resident, took to the floor to sing and tell poems. ‘See you Jimmy’ hats were worn and what a laugh the staff and Residents have.
The Residents had such a great time and some of the comments were as follows, “It was a great day thank you.” “That was such as good morning.”
Charlotte Beaumont, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Thank you ladies, everyone seemed to have a good day and lots of happy faces.”
