A handful of Residents recently experienced an unusual day out with a trip on the Welsh Heritage Railway that runs on the old Carmarthen to Aberystwyth line, which closed in 1965.
Rail enthusiasts have since recreated a 4.5-mile stretch from the Abergwili Junction.
The Residents were able to travel on carriages pulled by a steam train through the Carmarthenshire countryside, which brought many happy memories from earlier times. Everyone was also served a traditional afternoon tea with locally made scones served with cream and strawberry cream.
It was a very memorable day for many of the Residents and everyone mentioned how much they enjoyed the trip.
