Residents at HC-One’s Maple Lodge care home enjoyed an afternoon of excitement as they took part in an activity to create a fruit salad.
Residents chose their selection of fruit and with assistance, chopped the various fruits which included apples, pears, bananas and strawberries. They discussed their favourite fruits with one another, with everyone agreeing they mostly enjoy strawberries.
They topped the salad with cream and shared it out with other Residents for everyone to enjoy. Residents enjoyed taking part in the activity and sharing the responsibilities as they each had their own job.
Sarah Dodd, Home Manager, commented: “Residents enjoyed making the fruit salad and sharing it with everyone, especially enjoying the strawberries. It’s lovely for them to have got involved with this activity together.”
