Catherine House Residents at the care home, based in Somerset, enjoyed an afternoon buffet and a tipple with karaoke fun and laughter.
Residents and Colleagues all dressed up to enjoy the occasion. Sharon, Activities Coordinator, organised the party and Residents helped to create decorations to really sit in well with the theme, “We also had various care staff and kitchen staff attended also,” explained Sharon.
A total of fourteen Residents and six Colleagues attended.
The kitchen arranged a display of sausage rolls, scotch eggs, mini quiches, sandwiches, a pumpkin cake and many more treats to enjoy.
Everyone had a great time singing and sharing spooky stories across the room. They had spiders hanging from the ceiling as well as a whole array of decorations from pumpkins to witches’ broomsticks, lanterns, bats and lots more!
One Resident had such a wonderful time at the party, that they said, “Can we stay up all night?”
When everyone started sharing their spooky stories, Residents loved it!
Sharon remarked, “Wow I’ll be here for all occasions. Was so much fun for all.”
