Friends Reunited at The Beeches
This week has seen three old friends reunited in The Beeches Care Home.

Resident Mary has lived here just over 2 years. Her friend Gladys, who she has known since being 11 years old, came to visit her often and would stay for lunch occasionally.

Then in February this year Gladys decided that she wanted to join Mary and came to live in The Beeches, spending time with her old friend reminiscing about their school days and fond memories they had.

On Monday an old friend of both Mary and Gladys, who they have known for over 20 years came to live here at the Beeches.

When Ruth had visited a few weeks ago, she was unsure about coming into Residential care, but as soon as she walked into the lounge and saw her old friends, her worries were eased and she made the decision to move to the home.

The three ladies are delighted to be together, they have sat together and chatted about old days and shared stories with the home Colleagues about what they used to get up to and the trips away they used to go on with the ladies guild.

Mary remarked:

“I think it’s marvellous we are all here together, will we will keep you all busy!”

Ruth commented:

“Seeing these two made me want to stay here and I’m happy with my decision.”

Gladys Added:

“It’s so nice that they are both here with me, it’s nice to see Ruth as it’s been a long time!”

Sade smith Wellbeing Coordinator commented:

“This is why I love my job, seeing three friends reunited together and sharing the fond memories they have!”
