There were tears of joy at HC-One’s Strathtay House care home, on Harley Place in Perth earlier in December when friends of sixty years, Minnie Scott and Chrissy McNicol were reunited.
The ladies met while working at Buchanan Dunsmore clothing shop and have been close friends ever since, enjoying holidays and spending quality time together.
Chrissy made Strathtay House her home earlier this month, where her good friend, Minnie was already living. It was an emotional reunion as the pair had not seen each other since last year at Chrissy’s 100th birthday celebrations.
When asked what makes them such good friends, Minnie commented they have never had a cross word for each other and their friendship is filled with joy and laughter.
Judith Meaden, Strathtay House Home Manager said: “I am so pleased that Chrissy and Minnie can now spend more quality time together at Strathtay House, their friendship is so heart-warming.”
