Friendly volunteers at Forfar Care Home receive fundingTwo amazing women from Brechin and District Floral Art Club who frequently visit HC-One’s Finavon Court in Forfar have received funding from GlaxoSmithKline to support the local community.

Alison Talbot, whose husband lives at Finavon Court, and Cath Low visit Finavon Court monthly to teach the Residents how to arrange beautiful bouquets of flowers.

This week we received the fantastic news that they have received funding from GSK to support the local community, allowing them to continue to support the Residents at Finavon Court, as well as two other local care homes.

The activity encourages creativity, social interaction and always leaves the Residents with a big smile on their faces. They thoroughly enjoy showing of their finished creations, either by proudly displaying them in their rooms or in reception.

Resident Diana Oldershaw commented:

“I love it when Alison and Cath visit. The flowers make me so happy and they really brighten up a dull day.”

Debbie Thomson, Home Manager at Finavon Court, commented:

“I am absolutely delighted for Alison and Cath; both ladies are so committed to supporting our Residents. They always bring a smile to their faces.”
