James Wiseman celebrated his 89th birthday this week at HC-One’s Foxton Court Care Home in Morpeth, Northumberland surrounded by his loving family.
As Foxton Court’s first ever Resident, Jim has celebrated 8 birthdays in the home and this year was no different.
As has become tradition, every year his family visit with cards and presents to help him celebrate and bring him fish and chips for his tea.
The home didn’t want to let Jim have just a normal gathering so they decorated the quiet lounge with balloons and banners and set up a dining room for everyone to enjoy some alone time together.
He enjoyed being the centre of attention and getting involved with the preparations, helping to blow up balloons and most importantly wearing his crown that the team at Foxton Court gave him for the day. He commented:
“I’ve had such a brilliant day! My favourite part was my fish and chip tea.”
