HC-One’s St Clare’s Court Care Home in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham enjoy a visit to the hydro pool at the Pioneering Care Centre.
St Clare’s Court purchased a voucher from the Pioneering Care Centre, which allows two Residents to enjoy a relaxing session at the hydro pool once a month.
Residents Linda Jamison and Dorothy Whitelock were the lucky Residents to attend the most recent session, supported by Carer Nicola Collinson and Wellbeing Co-Ordinator Denise Swinburne.
This was Dorothy’s first visit to the pool and she commented:
“I really enjoyed the session as I’ve really missed swimming, the water was so warm! I used to swim a log when I was younger, even swimming for Yorkshire and my father was the one that trained me.”
After the relaxing session in the pool, everyone enjoyed a refreshment in the cafĂ© before returning to St Clare’s Court.
