Residents and team members at HC-One’s Finavon Court care home Forfar celebrated Pride Month with a rainbow tea party.
An annual celebration each June, Pride Month is held in honour of the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, which was a tipping point in the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States.
The kitchen team prepared colourful homemade rainbow cakes and treats while mocktails were prepared for the celebrations, Residents gathered for the rainbow tea party where music was played and everyone enjoyed singing and dancing.
A great time was had by all, with Residents agreeing that it was lovely to celebrate Pride Month and support the LGBTQ+ community.
Finavon Court Home Manager, Janet Hackett said: “What a wonderful and colourful tea party, I am so pleased that everyone enjoyed the celebrations.”
Located on Carseburn Road, Finavon Court care home offers short and long term care packages for members of the local community that require nursing care and nursing memory care for those living with dementia.
