Residents at HC-One’s The Polegate care home enjoyed an afternoon of flipping fun as they made their own pancakes during Pancake Day.
Everyone enjoyed taking turns to flip their pancakes as they cooked, and decided which of the various toppings they would add to their delicious masterpieces once they had finished cooking.
Toppings varied from fruit and chocolate, to honey and other sauces, with Residents remarking at their favourite toppings they would use on their pancakes as children.
Emma Rich-Spice, home manager, commented: “So much laughter was shared by all as we flipped all of our pancakes, it brought back some wonderful memories for our Residents of the pancake days they once had with their loved ones in their younger days.”
