Five-year-old granddaughter treats Residents to a fun filled Arts and Craft sessionResidents at HC-One’s Roseberry Court Care Home in Redcar were treated to a morning of entertainment with 5-years-old Alicia, the granddaughter of Wellbeing Coordinator Judith Condell.

Alicia loves to visit the Residents and on this visit, she hosted an arts and crafts morning where everyone drew pictures and coloured them in with pens that she’d brought with her.

After a busy morning of colouring, everyone treated themselves to refreshments and biscuits. Alicia then got her favourite moulding gel out and gave the Residents a lesson on how to mould the gel and it wasn’t long before they were off creating their own models.

Everyone was giggling as their statues became more real and Residents started to compare them. There were teddies, elephants and an unusual green monster made by Peggy.

Following the Arts and Crafts session, Alicia spoke to the Residents about her love for dancing and showed some of her amazing dancing skills to everyone, to a round of applause.

Residents love it when a child interacts with them; it gives them a sense of energy and when Alicia walked into the room, every Resident in the room broke into the most amazing smile.

Resident Geoffrey Bennison commented:

“I’ve had a lovely time with Alicia; she’s an amazing young lady.”

Alicia commented:

“Roseberry Court is one of my favourite places to be.”
