Residents have been taking part in nature-themed activities to enjoy the outdoors while they keep warm inside at HC-One’s Woodside Court care home in Glenrothes.
They enjoyed a lovely start to the week when they were greeted with heavy snowfall. Colleagues decided to bring some snow inside to share the wonder with the Residents.
Residents had fun making snowballs and tiny snowmen as they told stories about playing in the snow as a child or with their own children.
Colleagues even made a friendly snowman to spread cheer throughout the home.
Woodside Court Home Manager, Nicola Procter, said: “Although the snow looked picturesque outside, it brought a little joy to our Residents and they had such a happy time reminiscing.”
After the snow melted, The Residents of Woodside Court were able to enjoy a new wonder of nature as spring begins to flourish. Residents took part in a morning of flower arranging.
Wilma Oates, a Resident at the home, said: “This was lovely. I’d really like to do this again sometime. It was nice to get out of my room and take part.”
Wilma loved taking part in the activity and was over the moon when she realised that the flowers were for her to be displayed proudly in her room.
