Festive fun for Ashington care homeChristmas cheer has filled HC-One’s Ashington Grange care home in Ashington, Northumberland, this December as Residents and team members have enjoyed a full festive calendar.

Residents have welcomed both local school children and the Salvation Army into the home for Christmas carol services, where everyone sang along to their favourite festive tunes.

Ashington Grange also opened its doors the wider community for its annual Christmas Fayre which involved seasonal entertainment, food and stalls for all to enjoy, the event was a success and the home raised over £400 for the Resident’s Comfort Fund.

A variety of other activities were enjoyed, including making peppermint creams which Residents enjoyed both making and sampling the finished result.

Heather Knowles-Sinclair, Home Manager at Ashington Grange said: “Christmas evokes so many special memories for our Residents and we strive to make the day as special as possible. Ashington Grange is their home and the day should be as special as any other Christmas they have celebrated.”
