Festive baking session gets Jack Dormand into the Christmas spiritResidents at HC-One’s Jack Dormand Care Home in Peterlee, County Durham, gathered in the dining room for some festive baking.

Christmas music was put on in the background whilst Residents chose which festive cutter they would like to use to cut out the biscuit mix with.

Whilst they waited for the biscuits to cook there was a Christmas themed quiz and everyone told their favourite festive joke. As soon as the biscuits were cooked and cooled down enough to decorate, the Residents decorated them with lots of lovely colours.

As always, the best bit was being able to taste their creations!

The Residents really enjoyed getting into the festive spirit, Moira Nicholson commented:

“I really enjoyed doing this activity.”

Donna Price, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented:

“We had a lovely morning hearing what the Residents liked about Christmas and sharing our funny jokes.”
