HC-One’s Cedar Court care home in Wigston celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday 17th June with live entertainment and a BBQ.
Residents were joined by loved ones to celebrate all the special men in their lives, a local singer performed for everyone before Cedar Court’s chef fired up the BBQ serving burgers, sausages and chicken.
Lorraine, wife of a Resident at Cedar Court said:
“My husband really enjoyed the food, if there was Sunday dinner in front of him he would not have touched it, but the BBQ he finished in minutes.”
Residents commented on how much they enjoyed the BBQ as it was something different from the normal mealtimes.
Cedar Court Home Manager, Louise McQuone said:
“It was great to see the Resident’s enjoying the entertainment and BBQ. After such positive feedback, we are looking at other ways to make meal times more exciting for everyone.
I would also like to say Happy Father’s Day to all the lovely male Resident’s and staff at Cedar Court.”
