Farewells for retiring Chef in Buckinghamshire care homeToday at Highclere in Milton Keynes, which offers nursing, residential and residential dementia care Colleagues and Residents bid farewell to their long serving chef.

Lynn, a Chef at Highclere has been saying her goodbyes to all Residents and Colleagues. She is retiring after 30 years of service in the home, which has left everybody sad to see her go, but equally happy for her. Residents commented on how fantastic Lynn has been over the years and always going above and beyond her duties as a chef and always took into consideration everybody’s dietary and cultural requirements when preparing their meals, all Residents were catered for which has left a strong impression on their minds. 

Lynn has made many friends in her many years of working at Highclere, Residents have all said how much they are going to miss her and also her cooking! Residents have come together and created a lovely poster for Lynn to take into retirement, which has some fantastic comments on how much they are going to miss her. Colleagues also had this poster laminated so it will last forever. 

Margaret, a Resident at Highclere commented on how sad she is to see Lynn leave, but very much enjoyed helping out with the poster that has been made. One Resident also said, “I am so very sad to hear Lynn’s leaving, but I’m also happy for her at the same time, she has earned a good rest!”

Gigi, the Home Manager said, “Lynn has been such a fantastic chef for us over the years, I hope she enjoys her retirement!”
