Farewell party for former Resident after four years at Burnley care homeSharon Holden received the great news that she could finally go home to live with her beloved husband after receiving expert care and support for four years at HC-One’s Dove Court care home in Burnley.

Back in September 2014, Sharon moved into Dove Court as she was immobile and very unwell, after four years of care and support delivered by the expert team at the home, Sharon is well enough to go home to live with husband Sam and her family.

Over the years, Sharon has built close bonds with members of the team and fellow Residents at Dove Court. To celebrate her going to live with her family, the home organised a special ‘farewell party’ for Sharon with entertainment from Dove Court Gardener, Milton Green who transformed into his alter-ego ‘Milton Fury’ to perform some rock n roll classics.

Sharon has promised to visit Dove Court regularly to catch up with the team and fellow Residents, which everyone is already looking forward to.

Catherine Brierley, Home Manager at Dove Court said:

“Sharon will be dearly missed by everyone at Dove Court. It was amazing to see how far she has come and I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that are delighted she is able to go home and spend each day with her nearest and dearest.”
